Pluristem’s PLX Cells May Effectively Treat Ischemic Stroke - Brain Research Journal Reports

Pluristem Therapeutics Inc. today announced that the results of a pre-clinical study in an animal model of ischemic stroke demonstrated that its PLacental eXpanded (PLX) cell therapy may be an effective treatment for this disorder. Results will be published in the journal Brain Research (Brain Research, Feb. 22, Vol. 1315) under the title “Transplantation of placenta-derived mesenchymal stromal cells upon experimental stroke in rats.” The study was conducted in collaboration with the Fraunhofer Institute for Immunology and Cell Therapy (IZI) in Leipzig, Germany.
